What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instrumentation and Controls Specialist position at Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions?
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant processes by implementing and maintaining reliable instrumentation and control systems.
- Resolve instrumentation problems, address process issues, tune control loops, and conduct functional ESD checks.
- Execute minor project upgrades regarding instrumentation and control loops.
- Support capital projects in the areas of design and installation of instrumentation and controls.
- Perform configuration activities, manage alarms, and maintain operator graphics on DCS.
- Review Predictive Maintenance for existing and new instrumentation and analytical equipment.
- Manage the calibration requirements of critical instrumentation and serve as the ISO Coordinator for facility maintenance.
- Conduct training allowing for the instrument maintenance team to grow skills.
- Maintain close working relationships with leadership, production, maintenance, EHS and third-party contractors/consultants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Chemical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience working with process instrumentation and control systems in a chemical facility.
- Proven experience with process instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, motivated, results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and strong oral and written communication skills.
Positions requires lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, turning, grasping and walking on uneven surfaces.
