Job Summary
The Relief Systems Engineer Consultant will utilize their expertise in process design, analysis, and operations to deliver quality results to clients. The focus is on process safety management, specifically in the area of process safety information – relief systems design.
Achieving high-quality work products and efficient work execution are paramount. The Relief Systems Engineer Consultant will report to a project manager who will set clear expectations regarding work quality, efficiency, and technical development.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients on technical aspects of projects and thus requires excellent communication skills to convey technical requirements and deliverables effectively.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Chemical Engineering degree
- One to five years' experience in direct Relief Systems experience in process design, commissioning, start-up, or operations
- One to three years' knowledge of SuperChems, preferred
- One to three years' experience in a petrochemical plant or refinery, preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME), preferred
- Strong technical communication ability, both written and oral
