As a Relief Systems Engineer Consultant, you will utilize your expertise in process design, analysis, and operations to deliver quality results to clients. Your focus will be on process safety management in the area of process safety information – relief systems design. You must emphasize the quality of the work product and the efficiency of work execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform engineering calculations associated with pressure relief system design/analysis, prioritizing quality and efficiency
• Identify overpressure scenarios for various types of process equipment
• Calculate relief loads for diverse overpressure scenarios
• Evaluate pressure relief device capacities
• Conduct relief header and flare analysis
• Apply process simulation tools effectively
• Comply with Provenance and client safety procedures governing the work being performed
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A Chemical Engineering degree
• 1-5 years' direct experience in Relief Systems, preferably in process design, commissioning, start-up, or operations
• Familiarity with SuperChems, preferred
• Experience in a petrochemical plant or refinery, preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.), preferred
• Strong technical communication skills, both written and oral
• Unrestricted right to work in the United States
