CNC Lathe Machinist II
Pay is $18-$24 per hour
Hours: 40 / week
Schedule: 7:00 – 3:00 or 8:00 – 4:00
Monday – Friday (30 minute lunch paid)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
CNC machinist must be proficient in:
- Setup and operating of CNC mills, CNC lathes, grinders and all related hand tools.
- Reading, interpreting, and making simple edits in CNC programs.
- Reading and interpreting blue prints and all other documentation related to manufacturing of machined parts.
- Use of calipers, O.D./I.D micrometers, and all other machinists measuring tool.
- Producing high quality parts in a timely manor.
- Calculating feeds and speeds to meet finish requirements.
- Care of and maintaining of all equipment.
- Mathematics for calculating angles and conversion of fractions to decimal dimensions.
- Good Communication skills.
- Perform 5s lean manufacturing checklist.
- This position is responsible for maintaining productivity in their cell, while training and mentoring other employees in their cell.

PHYSICAL requirements
- Requires standing for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to walk around machinery safely.
- Requires use of hands, legs and arms to move materials through machinery.
- Requires ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
JOB RESTRICTIONS
Must verify all inserts and tooling with Machinist III / Shop lead
work experience requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years on CNC machines in a metal working job shop or manufacturing facility.
education requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred.
