Job Title: Plate Receiver
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay: $17/hr
Location: Tulsa, OK
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Plate Receiver to join our super-organized warehouse. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and storing metal plates and pipe/fittings, along with ensuring the accurate documentation and storage of materials. The position includes working with a computer to input material details and ensuring that products are ready for production. You will be trained on all necessary equipment and software systems to excel in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming metal plates and pipe/fittings, ensuring accuracy and quality before storing.
- Manage material storage in an organized manner, ensuring all items are labeled, tagged, and stored in their designated locations.
- Operate forklifts for material handling; overhead crane experience is a plus (training available).
- Use company proprietary software to enter material details and manage inventory (Worldship experience a plus).
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure materials are available as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in periodic stock audits.
- Ensure materials are correctly staged for production, using material sheets for reference.
- Assist in preparing materials for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse, adhering to all safety protocols and best practices.
- Participate in hands-on training and develop proficiency in all material handling and warehouse systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or material handling is preferred, but green candidates with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Forklift certification is required (overhead crane experience is a plus, training available).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use computer systems for inventory and shipping documentation (familiarity with Worldship is a plus).
- Ability to lift heavy materials and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Team-oriented, with a commitment to safety and quality.
