What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tig Fitter/Welder position at Trinity Employment Specialists?
Fitter Welder
$22-$25 hour DOE
7am-am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
Custom Fab shop is looking for an experienced Fitter Welder to add to it’s team.
Requirements:
Must have at least 5 years of experience in fitting and welding structural items. ( ex.
Must have stable work history
platforms, tubing, sheet metal, plate, pipe, enclosures)
Must be proficient in TIG welding carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Must be proficient in MIG welding carbon steel and stainless steel.
Must be proficient in FCAW (fluxcore) welding carbon steel.
Must be able to fit up small and large assemblies with minimal supervision.
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs by hand. Also needs to be able to take the heat. Our shops are climate controlled but it still gets hot in the summer.
Must be comfortable reading complex prints. Also with measuring and fitting equipment like tape measures, carpenter squares, levels, band saws, grinders, etc.

* Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
* Fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of structural metal products.
* Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
* Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
* Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
* Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
Salary : $22 - $25
