The Nurse Leader (NL) is a licensed registered nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. The NL promotes & advocates for patients, nurses / colleagues & the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise & assignment.
Note: “patients” refers to patients, clients, residents, participants, customers, members
- Responsible for the overall management of the Heart and Vascular Center.
- Provides nursing and administrative leadership in regards to all aspects of clinical care, patient safety, procedure scheduling, medication management, infection control, environment of care, colleague staffing, and medical staff relations.
- Assures compliance with all departmental and hospital policies within associated departments.
- Monitors and maintains all functions related to procedural billing practices, medical records, CDM, supply-chain and inventory management.
- Works in collaboration to collectively promote cardiovascular services throughout the organization.
