Job Summary
Responsible for planning and administering a comprehensive and balanced fundraising program in support of the organization's goals. The Foundation Director will lead and coordinate fund-raising efforts for the organization including annual gifts, events, planned gifts, grants, major gifts and capital campaign efforts. The Director will create philanthropic relationships and participate actively in community associations while promoting a positive image of Trinity Health System. This position designs and implements all development plans for the Foundation within the bylaws and policies, under the guidance of the Market President and the Foundation Board.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Leads the development of a comprehensive, annual fundraising plan toward the successful attainment of goals according to the development plan.
- Manages a portfolio of prospects and donors to build and maintain a prospect and donor base for the Foundation. Works with prospects and develops their relationship with the organization, ultimately increasing giving.
- Directs and oversees the receipt of charitable gifts, their financial stewardship and their ultimate distribution to the hospital and related entities, to ensure continuous support of the foundation and supported organization(s) mission.
- Oversees the management and recruitment of staff, volunteer and support groups, councils, committees and measures their impact on the overall goals of the associated organization.
Minimum Qualification
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of not-for-profit fundraising and development experience. Minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Licensure
- Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE) preferred
