Job Overview
We are a NEW ITALIAN STEAKHOUSE OPENING in Morristown seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their dining experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service within the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items and restaurant services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations when needed.
- Support the restaurant team during peak hours by assisting with guest needs and maintaining a positive environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest relations or customer service is preferred.
- Strong hospitality skills with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus, including knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $17.75 - $19.49 per hour
