- POSITION SUMMARY
The Hand Therapist is an Occupational Therapist who has successfully completed the certification examination for the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential offered through the American Society for Hand Therapy. Through the advanced training and education obtained through the preparation and successful completion of the CHT examination, the Hand Therapist has special skills specific to treatment of complex diagnoses involving the upper extremity.
The Hand Therapist is responsible for assessment, interpretation and goal development to provide appropriate intervention services designed to assist clients in achieving maximum functional level. This includes providing services according to physician orders, documenting according to policy and providing in-services as necessary.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Current ND OT license in good standing required
- CHT, Certified Hand Therapist
- Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 30 days of hire
