What are the responsibilities and job description for the NEURODIAGNOSTICS TECH position at Trinity Hospitals?
- POSITION SUMMARY
- Under the general supervision of the Neurodiagnostic Supervisor, performs otoacoustic, routine and complex electroencephalogram. Performs nerve conduction studies and/or evoked potential and intraoperative monitoring on all those served by this department.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Registration in EEG and/or IOM or EP by ABRET is recommended.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 30 days of hire.
- Educational Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited END technology program or equivalent formal training is recommended.
- Experience Requirements
- 1 year experience in neurodiagnostic testing with above registration OR 1 year experience in neurodiagnostic testing at Trinity with on-the-job training in NCS and/or evoked potentials;
- Or 2 years' experience in neurodiagnostic testing including NCS and/or IOM testing.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- PC experience required.
