Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pipe systems and the ability to work effectively in a construction environment. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems according to specifications and codes. Your expertise will ensure that all installations are completed safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Assemble and install piping systems based on schematics and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the installation process.
- Perform fire sprinkler fitting as required by project specifications.
- Maintain existing piping systems, conducting repairs and replacements as necessary.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with piping systems effectively.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed to secure pipe fittings and connections.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions during installation.
Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics related to pipeline systems.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards governing pipefitting practices.
- Experience in fire sprinkler fitting is highly desirable.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various piping issues.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations.
- Competence in welding techniques applicable to pipefitting tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks performed.
