Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool STEAM Teacher to join our team. This teacher will work with rotating classes of 3-5 year olds teaching different science concepts using hands-on methods each week. The ideal candidate will be flexible, nurturing, and patient with a knowledge of child development as well as be able to work well as a part of an amazing team.
This position is open until May 2025 at which point it could lead to a different teaching position within our school. This would be flexible and discussed as we got closer to summer break.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans weekly
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom
- Follow all DHS rules for child care centers
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Work to support a team of teachers
- Help fill in in a classroom if needed
Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Understanding of child development
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for children and teaching
- A degree in Early Childhood Development or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
