Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Childcare Teacher to join our team in our childcare classrooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to education, a deep understanding of early childhood development, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. This teacher will be responsible for leading a classroom, developing a curriculum, and ensuring a positive experience for all children in their care.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
- Monitor and support the social and emotional well-being of each child.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships and support child development.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and center events.
Faith Integration:
- Model Christian values and behavior in interactions with children, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field OR Technical Certification in Childcare.
- Strong commitment to Christian education and the mission of the childcare center.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
