Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on the medical and surgical needs of patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, utilizing your clinical expertise and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and IV therapy.
- Assist with discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving the facility.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive care.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in medical/surgical nursing is preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation.
- Proficiency in emergency medicine procedures and protocols.
- Experience administering injections and performing gastric lavage as needed.
- Familiarity with sonography techniques is a plus.
- Strong skills in primary care practices, including patient assessment and care planning.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as required.
- Experience with dermal fillers is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
