Full-Time Shift: 9am to 6pm

Montessori Assistant Teacher Role & Responsibilities: The assistant is responsible to the lead teacher and will assist in establishing and maintaining a harmonious classroom including, but not limited, to the following:
- Will help in establishing and maintaining Montessori classroom culture, paying particular attention to the needs of students.
- Carefully observe each student’s progression through the classroom, always being available to offer gentle guidance.
- Assist the lead teacher with the children in their learning and understanding of the Montessori materials.
- Assist with the basic needs of infants/toddlers including feeding, diapering, and potty training.
- Track students throughout the day to maintain optimal student safety.
- Inform the lead teacher of any classroom difficulties, including discipline, health, equipment needs, repair, and maintenance.
- Meet with the lead teacher to discuss goals for the class and individual students.
- Assist in keeping the classroom neat and clean by sweeping/wiping tables as needed.
- Assist with nap time routines.
- Participate in staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with at least 6 months of direct licensed childcare experience OR
- Completion of the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) OR
- Completion of ECD 101 or similar ECE credential from another state OR
- Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in education or similar field.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
