Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in security field.
- Must be armed C.L.E.E.T. certified.
- Working knowledge of law enforcement procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Patrols buildings and grounds of the community.
- Exams doors, windows, and gate to determine they are secure.
- Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
- Maintains general security involving local authorities as needed.
- Inspects building equipment as outlined by the Security Manager and reports any irregularities.
- Provides escort for emergency vehicles on campus.
- Completes daily reports to include unusual occurrences, malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, and property damage.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
