What you'll do :
- Expedites the movement of parts and material between warehouse and production areas by lifting or otherwise moving raw materials and / or parts.
- Prepares and coordinates schedules for pulling and delivering materials to control the flow of goods and regulate production floor space.
- Safely operates appropriate equipment (forklifts, hoists, cranes, etc.) required to move materials along production floor.
- Responsibilities may include activities related to shipping of materials or finished goods.
- Stages and maintains storage of finished goods for scheduling of shipments.
- Ensures the security and accountability of materials.
- Ensures packaged goods are loaded according to documentation and bills of lading.
- Complies with all company safety rules, and procedures.
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs as level 2 Material Handler and
- Monitors parts and material inventory levels
- Operates most transport systems in production and yard (including action arm, bobcat and excavator)
- Maintains and organizes production floor and storage areas (indoors & outside)
