Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner to our business leaders, providing expert HR guidance, support, and a consultative approach to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. This role requires a deep understanding of HR best practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with an assigned set of internal client groups and business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals, and build an understanding of their strategies, challenges, opportunities, and needs; essentially, acting as a consultant and trusted advisor on all people-related matters within designated business units.
- Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, and assist the HR Manager with the development of new policies and procedures
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive HR projects and initiatives
- Support change management efforts and organizational development activities
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk
- Partner with HR Generalist to assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, when needed
- Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and develop solutions to improve organizational performance within assigned business units
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting employee engagement and retention
- Succession planning with leadership to identify critical roles and develop talent pipelines for future succession
- Deep understanding of the company’s strategic goals and how HR can contribute to achieving them
- Other tasks and special projects as assigned
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with all responsibilities and tasks
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with business leaders and employees
- Maintain a high degree of integrity and ability to work with confidential information
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Perform all duties while sitting or standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weight (e.g. boxes of employee swag items, awards, etc.)
- Maintain a hybrid work schedule of in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during core business hours and remote (or in-office if preferred) on Mondays and Fridays during core business hours
- Ability to work in an open office cubicle environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, change management, compensation, diversity, organizational development, performance development (including performance improvement plans), terminations, and compliance management
- Strong understanding of employment law and clear judgement on when to reach out to internal and/or external counsel
- Effective written and oral communication to clearly convey HR policies and advice, and actively listen to concerns
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- High degree of integrity and proven ability to work with confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and software, as well as experience administering an HRIS system (UKG Pro preferred).
- Must have a strong sense of urgency and ability to execute quickly and efficiently while managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
- Experience in a global or multi-regional organization preferred
- Experience in a global high growth software company
