Overseeing, planning and organizing all activities of the Product Center in accordance with company Strategic goals and Policies. Directs operations through a team of functional managers and front-line supervisors. Ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction, while improving the efficiency of employees, materials and machines.
Essential Functions:
- Working in collaboration with the Sales and Business Management functions, oversee the P&L for respective division.
- Ensures adequate plans are developed and implemented for the control of budget spending, labor & material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, customer services responsiveness, and sales proposal accuracy, along with efficient human resource utilization.
- Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete and on-time delivery.
- Participates with senior management to develop and implement the annual budget including capital expenditures. Participates in re-forecasting on quarterly basis or as requested.
- Manages policy deployment in the areas of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, effective employee utilization and relations, and plant performance measures.
- Reviews operation reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives, revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
- Evaluates performance of staff members for compliance with established policies and company objectives and contributions in attaining objectives.
- Provides leadership for employee relations and departmental interactions through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
- Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate timely improvements and improved working relationships.
- Manages warranty costs in order to keep them at a minimum.
- Improves Working Capital Management by reviewing payment terms and receivables, increasing inventory turns, and maintaining the proper level of inventory.
- Enforce, support and comply with all work rules and company policies. Comply with and enforce all safety and health policies and procedures and set a prime example for employee safety.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:

- Foster a problem-solving attitude within the group
- Participate in the development of a succession plan
- Manage relationships with third party providers of rebuild/repair services or contract labor and customers, as required.
- Approve all expenses and authorize payments.
- Contribute to periodic meetings with peer managers
- Participate in strategic planning meetings as requested
- Recommend product or process improvements
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for direct supervision of all employees.
Work Environment: Office setting, with occasional field site visits
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk through the plant, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to type, requiring wrist-finger speed and ability. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.

Travel: Ability to travel extensively as required
Required Education/Experience:
- Master’s Degree in business management, Production Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
- Must be able to operate effectively in a team and service-oriented environment.
- Ability to be persuasive and give leadership to subordinates.
- Strong inter-personal skills in dealing with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to the Microsoft Office platform, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
