Job Description
1. Supplier Relationship Management in Americas :
To develop procurement strategies that are inventive and margin-contributing and screen reliable and competitive car rental suppliers in Americas;
To source new local suppliers in Americas to provide us with competitive commercial terms and SLAs. Evaluate potential suppliers based on their ability to meet our specific requirements, such as vehicle availability, geographic coverage, and responsiveness to service issues. Additionally, assess their financial stability and reputation in the market to ensure long-term reliability and partnership potential.
To build and maintain suppliers’ relationship and secure advantageous terms, competitive and stable supply, and acquire campaigns from suppliers based on data forecast and analysis.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to ensure compliance with Trip.com standards and expectations.
2. Market Analysis and Forecasting
Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities by analyzing local user preferences, stay updated on industry trends including but not limited to the integration of digital technologies in car rental services and transactions, monitor competitor activities by evaluating their pricing strategies, customer service quality, fleet management practices, and promotional campaigns to identify gaps and opportunities for differentiation
Provide market insights to HQ to optimize product design and sales strategies for successful global product localization.
3. Internal and External Collaboration
Collaborate with partners, cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure effective operation of local car rental business.
To assist and push the launch of supplier resources and campaigns, including but not limited to the relevant communication on possible trainings, campaign requirements and system configuration that may be involved in the process.
To handle escalated complaint from service team. Capable of drawing inferences from one instance, summarize specific cases and output service improvement plans.
Prepare and present regular reports on supplier performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
A minimum of 8-10 years working experience in business development, supplier management, or a related role, preferably should have worked as a Channel Sales or Business Development Manager in the car rental industry, internet or technology platform companies.
Keen business acumen and strong strategic planning abilities, capable of leveraging resources and interpersonal skills to manage long-term partnerships with stakeholders.
Willing to travel (up to 30%), US driver's license preferred, fluent in English both oral and written
