About the position...
This position will be primarily responsible for assisting Project Managers, Estimators, and the in-house Design Team in various tasks related to the process of residential and commercial construction projects. This position will be mainly located out of our Harrisburg, PA Corporate Office and will have the chance to experience work-life in an office setting while gaining on-site experience at current job sites.
- Support Project Managers as needed in the daily management and scheduling of commercial and residential construction projects.
- Support Project Managers in the planning and scheduling of project meetings, preparation of project documents, project budget and general project administration.
- Attend site and office meetings as necessary.
- Assist in reviewing, submitting, and processing project submittals.
- Navigate project folders and CM software to retrieve quotes, bids, and supporting documents.
- Work with estimators, designers, and other project support to formulate estimates for business and project planning.
- Work with Project Managers on reviewing plans for inconsistencies with modern construction methods and recommend possible solutions to gain a deep understanding of project requirements.
- Support Project Managers with the creation and issuance of Purchase Orders, Change Orders and Subcontracts.
- Assist in producing accurate quantity takeoffs from plans using On Screen Takeoff and Bluebeam software.
- Assist in preparing Invitations to Bid (ITB’s), provide drawings, and other supporting documents to suppliers and contractors for bidding purposes.
- Shadow and collaborate with the Design Team on the fundamentals of AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with Design Manager/Architects and Drafters to understand the full design process for commercial, residential, and fit-out projects.
- Shadow and collaborate with Construction Foremen and Superintendents on job sites for commercial, residential, and fit-out projects.
