About the position...

The Investment Accountant is responsible for handling all accounting and related administrative duties for the Investment Accounting Department as well as assisting to maintain ownership personal tax records and financial reporting. This is a great entry-level position for someone who is or will be a recent graduate this Spring!

• Works in software to handle accounting and reporting duties for approximately 40 Trust, Land Holdings, and Investment entities.
• Prepares accounts payable check requests for AP processing.
• Makes deposits and reconciles bank statements.
• Assists in maintaining complete general ledgers for each entity including required journal entries.
• Assists in preparing year-end work papers and financial statements for outside CPAs and prepares monthly and quarterly financial statements for certain entities.
• Maintains and analyzes all monthly trust investment brokerage statements and related spreadsheets.
• Maintains all trust - outside business investment tax returns, K-1’s, financial statements, and annual budgets.
• Maintains organization and tracking of outside financial statements and budget reports by date.
• Maintains accounting permanent files for each entity and trust outside investment.
• Interface with various lenders, investors and others providing information as needed.
• Prepares special financial reports and analysis as needed.
• Assists in preparing ownership year-end personal financial statements and related work papers.
• Maintains the insurance, crummey letters, and administrative paper files for various trusts established under the estate plan.
• Assists CFO and Senior Investment Accountant with various projects as needed.
