About the position...
The Working Equipment Foreman works with the Equipment Superintendent to lead the Equipment department team members through all phases of construction. This position works with other construction Superintendents, Project Managers, and company personnel to ensure schedules and plans are met until the project is completed. This position is expected to assist with operating equipment and performing manual labor as needed.
- Assists with coordinating and scheduling materials and subcontractors to complete jobs on-time.
- Operates heavy equipment on site when necessary.
- Operates company owned vehicles, material handlers, scissor lifts, and rental equipment, including towing trailers and compressors.
- Operates tampers, jack hammers, demolition saws, pumps, and pressure washers as required.
- Assists with daily excavation tasks including but not limited to trenching, backfilling/tamping, and grading.
- Assists with snow removal on construction sites.
- Opens and closes all sites.
- Assists in organizing and maintaining site storage trailers, equipment, and storage yards and getting them moved from site to site using subs and our CDL Driver.
- Assists in ensuring proper maintenance and care of machinery and equipment is scheduled and executed as required.
- Creating PO’S for material including aggregates and if necessary, rental equipment using Yardi.
- Approving daily times sheets and time off for our operators and laborers.
- Creates and maintains a safe working environment at all TCC sites.
