Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Taproom Supervisor to help oversee front of house operations at our Triple Taproom & Kitchen. We are looking for someone who can be friendly, empathetic, and highly collaborative with the ability to be responsible and pay attention to detail.
Experience/Skills:
- Hospitality experience preferably in a restaurant, brewery, or beer garden/taproom with at least 1 year experience
- Some supervision/management experience is helpful
- Proven ability to take initiative and manage time effectively
- Highly reliable with excellent attendance record
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with all
- Ability to handle money and disperse tips following company procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems and their operational functions
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs on own and up to 50 lbs with assistance, stand on your feet for up to 8-10 hours at a time (with breaks), and walk up and down the stairs multiple times a shift
Job Description/Tasks:
Front of House Supervision
- Opening and closing duties following company procedures
- Provide excellent customer service - be friendly, respectful, and empathetic, ensure all guests are taken care of as promptly as possible, and anticipate guest needs proactively
- Assist with ensuring the taproom is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests, staff, partners, and vendors
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment - participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
- Assist with and maintain all health department codes and inspections
- Assist with updating/adjusting menus & tap lists as needed
- Assist with communicating any specials, promotions, news to staff each shift
- Assist with hiring and training of new front of house staff
- Complete brief shift notes at the conclusion of each day
- Ensure bar is stocked & ready to go for daily service including batching cocktail mixes and prepping garnishes
- Replace kegs when they are out
Inventory
- Assist with counting products/goods for Weekly and Monthly Inventory including Liquor, Beer, Merchandise, and Dry Goods
Events
- Assist Manager of Events & Marketing with execution of on site private events and community events as needed including preparation of specialty cocktails/beverage requests, preparation of physical space - moving tables, chairs, etc, and serving event guests with a high level of professionalism and warm customer service
Please note: This position is paid with a base hourly rate PLUS tips. Average weekly tips range from $500 - $700.
Schedule: This is a part to full time (30-40 hours per week) on site position that is required to work Wednesdays - Sundays. We are closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. This position does have some flexibility with rotating nights off and some weekend shifts off when planned in advance with management.
