Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee plant operations, ensuring production runs efficiently.
- Maintain and ensure the proper use of tools and equipment.
- Order and manage shop supplies as needed.
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards.
- Train and support employees to improve productivity and performance.
- Maintain accurate production reports and workflow tracking.
- Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct daily Safety Toolbox Meetings to ensure a safe workplace.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the shop.
- Supervisory Experience: Minimum 1 year required.
- Industry Knowledge: 1 year of experience in the lumber industry required.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency in arithmetic (fractions/decimals).
- Certifications:
- Forklift Certification (Preferred, must obtain upon hire if not certified).
- Wood Grader Certification (Required – training available if needed).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to lift/move up to 60 lbs.
- Work near moving machinery and airborne particles. (sawdust exposure)
- Exposure to humid conditions, outdoor weather, and vibrations.
