Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree (minimum) in the field of civil engineering, construction management or a closely related field.
- Professional engineer license preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience.
- Project management and staff coordination skills necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
- Strong field/construction background essential.
- Working knowledge of geotechnical engineering and/or hydraulic gate systems preferred.
- Ability to complete projects both independently and leading a team that includes outside consultants.
- Provide engineering/construction expertise, technical oversight and overall management of water storage reservoirs and conveyance facilities related to supply.
- Prepare and review design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform project management activities including planning and delegating work, managing project budgets, invoicing, communicating resource needs and reporting backlog.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
- Work both in office and at local project sites.
- Manage projects, staff, budgets, schedules and clients.
- Prepare reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for project.
