Job Summary and Qualifications

The Ethics and Compliance Officer (ECO) is responsible for effective implementation and leadership of the Ethics & Compliance program at the division office and facilities within the division. This role provides advice to facility ECOs and division leadership on ethics and compliance concerns. Major responsibilities include interpreting and applying the Code of Conduct (Code), Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures (E&C Policies) and other communication, conducting investigations resulting from Ethics Line calls as assigned and assist facility ECOs in conducting investigations.

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide leadership for the E&C Program within the division.
  • Develop and implement a system to inform Division President of the status of ethics and compliance at division facilities
  • Periodically visit facilities to assess implementation of the E&C Program and provide guidance, as appropriate, to facility ECOs to improve the effectiveness of their programs.
  • Periodically participate in Facility Ethics and Compliance Committee (FECC) meetings and provide guidance, as appropriate.
  • Provide input and feedback regarding policies and procedures, as requested by the Corporate Ethics and Compliance Department (E&C Department).
  • Communicate E&C issues to leaders in the Division Office to encourage their involvement and support.
  • Work collaboratively with ECOs from Parallon Business units, including Shared Services, Supply Chain, Workforce Management Solutions, and Division IT&S, HCA physician services.
  • Work with the Division’s senior leaders in developing the future strategy and prioritization of compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Master's degree Health Care Administration is preferred
  • 7 years of experience in Healthcare Compliance is required
