Job Summary and Qualifications
The CTTechperformsCT scans, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality.
What You Will Do in This Role
You will perform CT exams following protocols andin a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.
You will prepare procedure trays withappropriate supplies.
You will take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.
You will provide patient history / signs / symptomsappropriate tothe exam to the radiologist.
You will appropriately complete documentation.
You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
You will support ALARA (As LowAsReasonably Achievable) principles.
You will inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
You will interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.
You will start IVs for contrast administration.
You will use the power injector.
You will contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
You willmaintainall licenses, certifications, and accreditationsrequiredas outlined in job qualifications.
You will handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).
You will promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.
You will support andparticipatein quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
You willcomply withquarterly targeted metrics (i.e., Kronos, HealthStream, PACS, etc.).
You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
You will perform other duties as assigned.
What Qualifications You Will Need
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
1 yearpost-graduate experience preferred.
BLS certificationrequired.
