This role reports to the Chief of Operations and ensures that ancillary services are integrated into the overall delivery of high quality patient care while meeting financial, regulatory and operational goals. Promotes and maintains harmonious inter-intra departmental relationships. Represents the departments in coordinating administrative and operational activities which interface with other departments throughout the organization. Assesses service area needs and coordinates marketing efforts and promotion of clinical service lines. Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for ancillary services that aligns with organizational goals and enhances patient care delivery.
- Identify growth opportunities for ancillary services, including service line expansion, new technology adoption, and market trends.
- Lead efforts to standardize processes, improve efficiency, and promote innovation across all ancillary departments.
- Oversee daily operations of all ancillary services to ensure smooth workflows, resource optimization, and compliance with standards of care.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with department managers to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and address performance gaps.
- Create and manage budgets for ancillary service departments, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze financial performance data to identify trends, forecast revenue, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts, equipment purchases, and service agreements to optimize resources.
- Ensure ancillary services adhere to accreditation standards, licensure requirements, and healthcare regulations.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular audits and compliance reviews, addressing any findings with corrective actions.
- Recruit, train, and mentor department leaders and staff to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Conduct performance evaluations, develop succession plans, and identify professional development opportunities for staff.
- Promote employee engagement and retention by addressing workplace concerns and recognizing achievements.
- Drive initiatives to improve patient satisfaction by ensuring ancillary services are accessible, timely, and integrated across the organization.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure ancillary services support patient care goals and enhance the patient experience.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement strategies to address concerns and improve service delivery.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple service lines and driving operational improvements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices for ancillary services.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement evidence-based solutions.
- Bachelors or post-graduate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related healthcare discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years healthcare management experience in a leadership role overseeing ancillary services. Hospital and/or Critical Access Hospital experience preferred.
