What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-Term Substitute Music Teacher position at Triton Regional High School?
Triton High School is searching for a Music teacher for a long-term sub position from February break 2025-April break 2025 who is passionate about developing a love of music throughout our student body. Triton has a rich history in music education and is committed to building and maintaining thriving music programs. Triton believes deeply in developing a strong sense of student agency, promoting voice and choice within the classroom as well as the school. We are searching for a teacher who truly cares about teaching high school students and enjoys working with all types of children.
Triton is looking for a music teacher with a deep understanding of the best practices for
music instruction. We believe in the value of meaningful and relevant work for our students
and have regularly been able to highlight this through our performing groups. Triton also
believes that it is essential to foster meaningful relationships between teachers, students, and
families, with each fully invested in the student’s success.
We are looking for an educator who seeks to continually improve and hone their craft.
Additionally, Triton is seeking a teacher who collaborates well with other members of the
department and also the parent group that helps to support music programming. As a smaller
school, it is important to note that the successful candidate will have both vocal and instrumental
courses.
Requirements: Current and valid MA DESE licensure in Music Education; Ability to collaborate
with a variety of educators; Master’s Degree preferred.
