Key Responsibilities
- Independently (with guidance when needed) facilitate the structuring, negotiation, and execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting purchase agreements, and coordinating closing processes.
- Provide legal counsel to business clients on corporate governance, contract negotiation, entity formation, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, agreements, and other corporate documents.
- Work directly with senior attorneys and clients, gaining hands-on experience and professional development opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience at a mid to large-sized law firm
- Licensed in KS and/or MO (both preferred) or willing to become licensed in KS and/or MO
- At least 2 years of experience managing middle-market M&A deals of $15 million
- Strong attention to detail without losing urgency – ensuring deals move forward efficiently and accurately
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality legal services
