Position Summary: The position provides comprehensive assessment and high-quality therapeutic counseling services to individuals, families, and groups within the mental health program and other designated programs. Additionally, it includes case management tailored to meet individual client needs as identified during assessments.

RESPONSIBLITIES
- Develop and review individualized service plans (ISPs) for your personal caseload and supervisory staff, in accordance with current Washington Administrative Code (WAC) requirements, ensuring alignment with caseload and supervisory staff guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and Quality Assurance Review (QAR) processes for consumer services, meeting agency, state, and federal regulations. This includes submitting documentation within 24 hours of appointments and promptly signing off on supervisees documentation, while maintaining up-to-date client records.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community resources to enhance the well-being and recovery journey of individuals facing mental health challenges, ultimately benefiting the broader community.
- Initiate discharge planning and community placement for clients at the conclusion of treatment, adhering to agency discharge policies and maintaining high standards of client service.
- Support data collection and reporting for grant writing and agency needs, as required.
- Provide community consultation and educational services in response to agency needs and under supervisor direction.
- Understand and fulfill legal responsibilities related to emergency management, including coordinating with CPS/APS and law enforcement/courts as necessary or legally mandated.
- Participate in regular consultations with psychiatric/psychological professionals or community partners, as directed by the supervisor or clinical team.
- Pursue and complete required training and ongoing education as specified by contract and Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) requirements, supporting both mental health and agency-wide staff, as needed.
- Oversee and conduct both group and individual supervision sessions with the mental health team, as well as with peer support or case managers within the agency.
- Ensure adherence to the annual clinical care budget and oversee the continuing education budget for each team member, in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Master’s degree in counseling, Family Therapy, or Social Work.
Experience:
- Knowledge in alcoholism, drug addiction and ASAM criteria.
- Knowledge of long-term rehabilitative processes, including an understanding of the need for medical care, post-treatment crises, relapse risks, and emerging challenges associated with sobriety.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of related experience in mental health outpatient and residential operation facility and/or inpatient facility.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Have knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health programs throughout Washington State.
- Have a working understanding of supportive mental health diagnoses, interventions, and co-occurring disorders
- Understand trauma-informed care and treatment expectations
Licenses/Certificates/Registration:
- Possess a current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LISCW, LMSW) credential or equivalent, or a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as required by WAC (Associate Master’s Clinicians considered
- Valid drivers license and vehicle insurance required. 5 years of licensed driving experience required.
