What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Estimator position at TROLLER ELECTRIC, LLC?
Electrical Estimator
The qualified candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of commercial construction and proficiency in all facets of electrical contracting including, but not limited to, mobilization, building dynamics, customer interaction, installation processes, electrical components, materials handling, engineering, and project management.
• Comprehend engineering plans and perform accurate take offs
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to figure out labor, and material costs
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine work scope
• Consult with engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors for clarifications
• Solicit vendor requests for pricing
• Receive and incorporate revisions and addendums into project documents
• Attend scope review meetings
• Participate in meeting for project turnover to field personnel
• Suggest process improvements (value engineering)
• Estimate and prepare change orders when required
• Knowledge of current electrical codes Requirements
• Strong analytical skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
• Competency in understanding and explaining technical and engineering solutions
• Excellent customer orientation and service skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A team player that works effectively with internal staff.
• Knowledge of Accubid
• Proficient in the Building Connected Bid Management System
Education/Experience Required
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years' experience Preferred
