Job Overview:
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distributing mail.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Check in and Check out
-Verify Insurances
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
- Scan paperwork to appropriate chart
- Update Medical history of needed
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
Skills:
- Experience with Open Dental or similar dental software preferred
- Knowledge of Dental records management
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Receptionist is a plus
- Familiarity with phone systems such as Goto
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
