We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse and Receiving Lead to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse and receiving functions.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Inspection:
- Oversee the receiving process, including inspection and verification of incoming materials, ingredients, and packaging components.
- Ensure all received items match purchase orders (POs) and adhere to quality and regulatory standards.
- Document discrepancies, damages, or shortages and coordinate with purchasing or suppliers to resolve issues.
- Organize and label received items appropriately in designated storage areas.
Warehouse Operations:
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Manage inventory control processes, including accurate stock counts and proper rotation of materials (e.g., FIFO).
- Maintain and oversee storage of hazardous or regulated materials in accordance with applicable safety and compliance requirements.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and reconciliation of variances.
- Coordinate material transfers to production areas in line with manufacturing schedules.
Shipping and Fulfillment:
- Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of finished goods to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Work closely with logistics providers to schedule shipments and troubleshoot any delivery issues.
- Verify outbound shipments against orders, ensuring they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Documentation and ERP Utilization:
- Utilize the company’s ERP system to track inventory, log transactions, and generate accurate reports.
- Maintain proper documentation of receipts, shipments, inventory movements, and returns.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, material usage, and warehouse performance for management review.
Team Leadership:
- Be a lead in the warehouse to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide training and mentorship on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety standards.
- Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Other Essential Functions:
- Proactively identify and address operational challenges to maintain smooth warehouse and receiving functions.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure materials are readily available and meet project timelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and coordinate necessary repairs or servicing.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory standards, including proper storage of materials and workplace safety.
- Stay informed of industry compliance requirements regarding raw materials and ensure all incoming and stored materials meet applicable regulatory and quality standards.
"Wearing Different Hats":
- Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities outside the standard job description as business needs arise. This may include assisting in production, quality inspections, or other cross-functional tasks to ensure smooth operations and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of experience in warehouse or receiving operations, preferably within a CMO or manufacturing environment.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is highly preferred.
Skills and Certifications:
- Forklift certified with demonstrated safe operating skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry compliance requirements related to raw materials, storage, and handling, especially for regulated industries like skincare, haircare, wellness, and OTC.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Full mobility, including walking, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with raw materials and packaging components for skincare, haircare, wellness, and OTC products is a plus.
