Attorney

Trott Law, P.C., an industry leader in mortgage default law, has an immediate opening for a full-time attorney in the firm’s Post-Sale Department. The ideal candidate will have 0-5 years of experience, but others may be considered. The position involves a combination of real estate focused transactional and courtroom work, including resolution of title issues, assisting clients with various post-sale legal requirements, preparing and reviewing pleadings, creditors’ rights, and attending possession hearings in District Court, to name a few specific areas of practice.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
• State Bar of Michigan license to practice law
• Must be accurate, detail-oriented and organized
• Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Professional verbal and written business communication skills are essential
• Professional verbal and written legal skills and analysis are essential.
• General computer skills, such as knowledge of Lexis, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the internet and general office software

Working Conditions:

• Normal for office environment, including the potential for a combination of remote and in-office work.
• Some travel will be required to attend court hearings.
