**About the Role:**
The Troup County School System is seeking a highly qualified Strategic Director of Prevention and Intervention Initiatives to lead our district-wide efforts in developing and implementing effective prevention and intervention strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) across the district, ensuring seamless integration with existing programs.
- Lead the development and maintenance of evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies, aligning with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation.
- Collaborate with district leaders, educators, and staff to ensure effective implementation of programs, promoting a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of prevention and intervention programs, making data-driven decisions to adjust and improve initiatives as needed.
- Provide training and professional development for staff on MTSS, SEL, and PBIS, fostering a growth mindset and commitment to excellence.
- Evaluate the District Mental Health Coordinator and the Wrap-Around Services Program, ensuring alignment with district goals and objectives.
- Meet with district administration to develop and implement district-level support and products for successful PBIS implementation within schools.
Requirements:
- A valid Georgia Certificate; L-5, 6 or higher, or eligibility for proper leadership certification as set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
- Five years of successful teaching experience, with three full years of school administrative experience preferred.
- Principal experience is an asset, but not required.
