Job Summary : The Competitive Intelligence Analyst will conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies, sectors, practice areas, geographic markets, technologies, and competitors using a comprehensive variety of online research tools. The Analyst will develop insightful and actionable intelligence to aid in strategic decision-making and drive business development, profitability, growth, prospective / client retention, and other business opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Monitor and analyze the competitive legal environment, as well as emerging trends in the legal industry, to provide proactive business insights.
- Provide quick reference and in-depth research on competitors, clients, prospects, markets, and industries to support firm-wide marketing and business development initiatives
- Analyze and create reports using internal business intelligence data on clients, matters and industries served to uncover trends and identify opportunities.
- Synthesize relevant information needed for high-level and business development decision-making, and succinctly communicate research findings in a clear and concise manner, with an emphasis on written communication.
- Tailor communication and delivery methods to suit the needs and understanding of different audiences, enabling them to best leverage market and client intelligence.
- Provide training and guidance to business development staff on resources and methodologies to support them in execution of their responsibilities.
