Job Description
Are you an ambitious accounting professional looking to expand your expertise? We are seeking an enthusiastic contributor to serve as a Senior Accountant at Trove Brands. This position performs a variety of accounting duties that range in complexity. You will assist with inventory accounting, project budget tracking, international accounting, and support the month-end close processes, including bank reconciliations. Additionally, this role includes Brand P&L management support and working closely with senior leadership.
Your specific responsibilities as a part of Team Trove will include:
- Assist with Inventory Accounting and ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
- Track and manage project budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Support International Accounting functions, including exchange rates, VAT compliance, tax reconciliations, and margin management.
- Collaborate on month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts.
- Provide Brand P&L management support, ensuring accurate and insightful financial reporting by brand.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy within the accounting team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment and support business decisions.
Qualifications
3-5 years’ experience in General Accounting functions required
- International accounting and inventory accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required
- Acumatica ERP experience preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel (including use of formulas/functions (XLOOKUP, IF, etc.), pivot tables, power query, and ability to sort and analyze data sets to identify errors)
- SQL knowledge, preferred
- Confident working with internal and external customers
- Working knowledge of GAAP
