QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid NYS Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet and provide visionary leadership to promote academic excellence and continuous improvement across all schools within the district;
Oversee the development, alignment and evaluation of curriculum and instructional programs, to ensure they meet state standards and address the diverse and ever-changing needs of students;
Supervise and evaluate the performance of building leaders and directors of departments to foster both professional growth and accountability;
Collaborate with members of Cabinet, building leaders and directors of departments to prepare and administer the district's budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support the district mission, vision and goals;
Assist in formulating and implementing district policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations;
Lead the District Leadership Team in the annual analysis of achievement, attendance, behavior and survey data from multiple stakeholders to inform the development of the District Comprehensive Improvement Plan and subsequent School Comprehensive Education Plans;
Lead the Professional Development Planning Committee to identify the demonstrated needs of all leaders, faculty, staff and students, develop a strategic plan and provide targeted training and access to conferences and embedded support to meet those demonstrated needs;
Work collaboratively to identify and secure competitive grant programs to expand opportunities for students;
Collaborate with the District Data Coordinator and Assistant Director for Technology and Information Services to oversee the collection of student achievement and demographic data from multiple student management systems as required by the NYS Data Warehousing initiative;
Facilitate partnerships with community organizations, families, and other stakeholders to support student success and well-being; and
Assume other duties as directed by the Superintendent of Schools.
