Troy Industrial Solutions is looking for a motivated, career-minded individual to fill our Project Estimator position in the Brewer, ME location. The person in this position will coordinate the quotation, design, engineering, and scope of work of the products and services offered by Troy Industrial Solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Review and evaluate request for estimates.
  • Work with Territory Managers, Technical Service Representatives, and/or directly with the customer to clarify scope, time, and budget.
  • Ensure that the quote process and protocol meet all established company guidelines.
  • Utilize CRM functions for tracking open quotes, updating database, and entering customer details.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Troy Industrial Solutions’ products and services.
  • Achieve and maintain a strong working knowledge of related company products & services and apply to optimally serve customers’ needs.
  • Provide assistance to/coordination with Territory Managers and Technical Service Representatives to schedule work and/or secure orders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry-related products, trends, pricing, and services.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing vendor relationships. Work with vendors to quantify application information.
  • Develop schedule and solve problems to achieve desired results.
  • Notify management of industry and competitive issues; recommend any opportunities for operational improvement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-year Technical Degree plus related work experience required
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and design experience is essential
  • Two (2) years of experience and/or training in industrial equipment fabrication or bulk material handling system design or estimating (or same or related position/field of work)
  • Strong computer literacy and database experience required
  • Familiarity with CRM, SAGE, or similar customer/ERP management software
  • Drafting experience with SolidWorks preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
