*Job Summary:**
The Deburr/Machine Shop Assistant plays a vital role in the production process by ensuring that all machined parts are free from burrs, sharp edges, and defects. This position involves working closely with machinists and operators to maintain high-quality standards and assist in various machine shop operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a passion for manufacturing

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform deburring, polishing, and finishing of machined parts using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Inspect parts for defects, ensuring they meet quality specifications and standards.
- Assist machinists with set-up, operation, and maintenance of machine tools, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
- Package and label finished products for quality assurance and shipping.
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies required for deburring and machining processes.
- Follow work orders, instructions, and safety protocols consistently.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues that arise.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of machining processes.

-Proficiency in basic math and quality control techniques .

-Familiarity with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and fabrication methods -Ability to learn and Understanding of CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe and press brake machines .

-Commitment to training and development in lean manufacturing practices.

• Starting hourly wage between $15-19.00 per hour depending on KSA's.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday 6:00 am-4:30 pm. TROY positions hours are subject to change based on TROY management decision.
