Job Overview
We are seeking a Nail Gun Operator to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with both power and hand tools, and possess a strong mechanical knowledge to effectively assemble products. This role is essential in ensuring that our production line operates smoothly and efficiently.
Technical Skills:
- Nail Gun Operation – Safely and efficiently using pneumatic or cordless nail guns.
- Pallet Assembly – Building and repairing wooden pallets according to specifications.
- Wood Cutting & Measuring – Using saws and measuring tools to cut wood to required dimensions.
- Fastening Techniques – Ensuring nails are properly driven for durability and structural integrity.
- Quality Control – Inspecting pallets for defects, misalignment, or weak spots.
- Blueprint & Spec Reading – Understanding pallet design drawings and dimensions.
Physical & Safety Skills:
- Heavy Lifting & Manual Dexterity – Handling wood planks and equipment efficiently.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Use – Wearing gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
- Workplace Safety Awareness – Following OSHA regulations and shop safety procedures.
- Tool Maintenance – Keeping nail guns and other equipment in working condition.
Workplace & Efficiency Skills:
- Time Management – Meeting production quotas and deadlines.
- Teamwork & Communication – Working efficiently with others in a production environment.
- Problem-Solving – Troubleshooting misfires, jams, or defective pallets.
- Adaptability – Adjusting to different pallet sizes, wood types, and production demands.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in a manufacturing facility
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work on an assembly line
- Time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift operation skills are a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
