Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Training: Learn and implement Tru Builders' strategies to connect with clients.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, offering construction expertise, and providing excellent customer service.
- Sales Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, using knowledge of the construction industry to better engage with clients.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the features and benefits of our products/services to effectively communicate value propositions. A background in residential construction will enable you to better explain the benefits and processes of our services.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver persuasive and engaging sales presentations, integrating construction knowledge to highlight our expertise and the quality of our work. Your focus will be selling our Pre-construction
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions using CRM software.
- Budgeting and Contracting: Collaborate with our Estimator to create Pre-construction and construction contracts and develop working budgets for projects.
- Marketing: Assist the team with marketing strategies, attend home shows and community mixers, and build relationships with local HOA'
Qualifications:
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of sales principles and techniques, combined with an understanding of residential construction and the ability to effectively communicate construction-related information to clients.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in using sales software and CRM tools. Previous knowledge of BuilderTrend is a plus!
- Abilities: The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet sales targets while leveraging construction experience to engage clients. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Other Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven, and a strong desire to succeed in a sales career. Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Industry Experience: Working experience in a residential construction business is highly desirable, and a strong understanding of residential construction principles is required. Minimum of 2 years of trade experience is recommended.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven sales experience (3 years) in a relevant sales role or a similar field.
- Minimum of 2 years of trade experience with a basic understanding of residential construction.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets of over 1 million per year.
