Trucent Renewable Chemicals seeks a dynamic and successful Sales Manager to join their growing team. Created in 2020 as subsidiary of Trucent, Inc. a 25-year-old leader in sustainability solutions across North America, Trucent Renewables uses the most advanced technology to produce oleochemicals from a variety of vegetable oils. Our proprietary process allows us to produce a wide range of chemistries that offer our customers the ability to develop custom blends that best suit their needs. Moreover, this is all accomplished by way of a process that is uniquely sustainable, producing fewer greenhouse gases and using less water than conventional production methods.
The Commercial Director will play a vital role in designing and implementing the strategic and tactical business plan for launching and bringing to market innovative fatty acid and specialty oleochemical solutions. Driven by market demand, this key and agile business leader will actively promote, develop, and capture opportunities for the product line in a consultative manner. This position is a hybrid between sales and strategic marketing tasked with the goal to increase sales.

Additional Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
- Budget formation, CRM management, accountability management for sales team, mentorship and development of sales team.
- Identify the potential market and define market value for TRC product(s). Develop and implement specific tactics necessary to transform potential market value into successful commercialization in traditional markets.
- Assess market for new areas of specialty chemical sales. Identify unmet customer needs and establish messaging for TRC products to meet those needs. Advance and commercialize new applications or markets for fatty acid and oleochemical solutions.
- Define and position commercial offerings within a well-defined, prioritized pipeline for each commercial account. Develop a strategy for successfully engaging the appropriate customer base to achieve sales and grow profitability.
- Develop pricing based on market, that also factors in effort and cost for TRC while emphasizing value and total impact for customer.
- Define appropriate market segments.
- Develop marketing strategies to fully capture and demonstrate product value. Pursue defined sales targets.
- Complete benchmarking for product and service providers across industries to understand current value and future value.
- Manage procurement with emphasis on optimization of costs for all items within the realm of chemical management.
- Maintain accountability and sole responsibility for all facets of the strategic sales process including lead generation and customer engagement. Identify needs, propose product solutions, and negotiate pricing and agreements with customers seeking fatty acid and oleochemical solutions. Employ a consultative, problem-solving approach to build trusting, long-term partnerships with customers.
- Establish a role internally and externally as a chemical management expert. Act as a technical resource during the sales process and in support of maximizing customer success. Maintain ability and agility to respond to market and customer feedback and demands to establish and increase market share and maintain relevance.
- Design engaging, concise, and clear presentations for sales meetings, industry events, etc. with the goal of obtaining sales leads, building relationships with prospects and customers and developing industry partnerships. Deliver presentations, facilitate discussions / talks, etc. at industry tradeshows, conferences, etc. Engage and build relationships with key industry leaders and experts.
- Help form and lead TRC marketing efforts both with and without the support of Trucent, Inc. corporate marketing services.
- Collaborate with TRC engineering, lab, and operations teams to realize maximum potential for both TRC's brand recognition and revenue growth and customers' benefit and prosperity.
- Participate in senior management discussions and meetings for all Trucent lines of business; represent TRC at Trucent, Inc. and subsidiaries meetings, retreats, etc. at the request of the CEO and when applicable.
- Work with your sales team to manage the sales cycle and bring business to closure in a timely basis.
- Comply with all aspects of the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to : hazard communication, PPE requirements and attending quarterly safety training.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics.
