What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vocational Used Truck Buyer position at Truck Country, Inc.?
Summary:
The Vocational Used Truck Buyer is responsible for sales productivity for vocational used truck inventory, for procuring inventory, managing sales requests and processes to achieve sales goals and department profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work directly with Corporate Vocational Sales Manager to meet overall Used Truck Department sales and profitability goals for all Stoops locations.
* Source vocational used truck inventory as required to meet the needs and demands of Stoops locations.
* Manage recon process to ensure corporate standards are met. Actively manage recon costs.
* Manage Vocational Used Truck Inventory age and day's supply
* Direct both wholesale and retail efforts of vocational trucks
* Facilitates dealership trades for vocational units including pricing and disposition of units
* Maintain sales volume and selling margins by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic and industry indicators, and competition in concurrence with Corporate Used Truck Manager
* Assist sales professionals in targeting new accounts and prospecting activities
* Make customer calls with sales professionals and provide required assistance in proposing, closing, financing, leasing, and contract maintenance
* Acts as a liaison between Used Truck Sales department and other sales related units.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Be skilled in the following areas:

o Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities on short notice
o Ability to carry out Company policies and understand proper protocol
o Communicate and listen effectively
o Ability to maintain clear and accurate records
* Must be organized, excellent time management skills, professional manner in all facets of customer service
* Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
