About the Role:
The Outside Parts Sales Representative at Truck Country is responsible for expanding and maintaining a customer base, fostering customer relationships, and serving as a positive ambassador for the company. This role involves making sales calls to trucking and leasing companies, independent garages, and trailer repair shops, maintaining existing parts business, prospecting new customers, and providing excellent customer service. The Sales Representative must hit projections and exceed monthly/yearly goals set by the company while adhering to Truck Country’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Make sales calls to trucking and leasing companies, independent garages, and trailer repair shops.
- Maintain existing parts business and grow sales with the current customer base.
- Prospect new customers and convert prospects into active customers.
- Maintain close relationships with customers.
- Assist customers with parts returns and warranty problems according to company policies.
- Achieve and exceed monthly/yearly sales goals set by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-duty truck parts or service.
- Working knowledge of trucks, diesel engines, air brakes, HD transmission, axle, and driveline.
- Superior selling skills based on probing to uncover customer needs.
- Strong customer service, communication, telephone, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and driven individual.
