Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all daily operations accountabilities, including supervising drivers, logistics staff, clerical teams, and enforcing company policies/procedures
- Optimize utilization of company assets including technology, Class A drivers, tractors, and trailers to maximize productivity
- Train and develop direct reports on responsibilities, safety protocols, DOT regulations, and operational execution to meet service/financial goals
- Utilize transportation management systems to analyze freight movements and optimize routes
- Maintain accurate data entry and documentation for all terminal activities
- Ensure all driver hours, load completions, and compensation details are accurately recorded
- Collaborate with team to enhance overall transportation planning
- Serve as primary customer contact, establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
Qualifications
- 3 years in trucking dispatch, terminal management, or logistics operations
- Proficiency in transportation management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Proven ability to manage a team, solve problems, and drive operational efficiency
