The Benefits Specialist will assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. This role focuses on supporting employees, ensuring they understand their benefits options, and helping maintain accurate benefits data.

The Trucordia people team is looking to hire another Benefits Specialist to join their team. The Benefits Specialist will assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. This role focuses on supporting employees, ensuring they understand their benefits options, and helping maintain accurate benefits data.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (e.g., health, dental, vision, and retirement plans), ensuring smooth administration and employee support.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing in-depth guidance and resolving complex issues.
- Collaborate with the benefits enrollment process, including assisting employees with questions and troubleshooting enrollment challenges.
- Maintain accurate employee benefits data in the HRIS system and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and enhance benefits materials and communication, such as emails, presentations, and guides, to ensure clear employee understanding.
- Ensure compliance with benefits-related laws, such as COBRA and HIPAA, and support audits or policy updates as needed.
- Join forces with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve benefits-related concerns and ensure accurate processing of benefits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of experience in human resources or benefits administration, with a track record of managing benefits programs and resolving complex employee issues.
- Strong proficiency with HRIS systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain benefits programs effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of benefits-related laws and regulations.
- Experience assisting with benefits enrollments or working with benefits vendors.
- Certification or coursework in human resources or benefits management (e.g., CEBS coursework).
- Experience with the HRIS system Ceridian Dayforce.
